Fier police informs that they have stopped two doctors, who appear in the video taking bribes.

At the end of the investigative actions, the criminal offense “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions” was stopped, of citizens AS, 54 years old, resident in Tirana, acting psychiatrist at the Fier Regional Hospital and E. Sh., 47 years old , resident in Kuçova, acting ENT doctor at the Fier Regional Hospital.

After the video published in the investigative show “Stop” on the evening of June 3, 2021, of two corruption cases committed by two doctors in the Fier Regional Hospital, Economic and Financial Crime Structures in DVP Fier, in cooperation with the Fier Prosecution Task Force , took immediate police and procedural measures in order to identify and escort them as well as the legal documentation of the corrupt activity of the two doctors.

At the end of the investigative actions, the criminal offense “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions” was stopped, of citizens Agim Sulaj, 54 years old, resident in Tirana, working as a psychiatrist at the Fier Regional Hospital and Eduart Shyti, 47 years old, resident in Kuçova, acting ENT doctor at the Fier Regional Hospital.

These citizens, on different dates during the exercise of the function have taken a sum of money from different citizens who went for medical visits.

The procedural materials were forwarded to the Fier Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
